General Raheel takes reward by Brazil “order of merit”






RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif was granted "Order of Merit" by the Brazilian Government on 25, November 2015.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief was granted Brazil's desired Award "Order of Merit" in a special ceremonial in recognition of his headship for successful fight against multiple extortions.

General Raheel is the first Asian to have won this desired Award. General Raheel Sharif through his undoubting resolve, constant sincerity and spotless professional commitment has become a leading symbol in the world.

His contribution to promote two armies in specific is extraordinary, massive and the standard links between Pakistan and Brazil in general.

Government of Brazil citation reads that "order of merit" being given to General Raheel Sharif for displaying extraordinary bravery to deal with the threat of terrorism, successfully leading the army in the face of multiple threats and also above all for his great efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
