Dhaka: The Islamic State group has titled accountability
for an attack on worshippers at a Shia mosque in northern Bangladesh that
killed one and injured three others, the US-based monitoring organization SITE
said on Friday.
Television footage showed the heavily protected
Shia mosque with broken windows and blood stains on the floor.
The attackers entered the mosque in Shibganj,
some 200 miles (125 kilometers) north of Dhaka, during early evening prayers on
Thursday and opened fire on the grouped worshippers before escaping.
