KHNL reported that the suspected
incident took place on Halloween at the
Four Seasons Resort Maui. Citing sources, the station reported that Reyes' wife
Katherine told officers the four-time All Star grabbed her throat and pushed
her into a glass balcony door. The player's wife told police she had thigh, neck and wrist injuries according to KHNL.
KHNL said Reyes was
arrested for abuse and released on bail. It was not directly clear if he had been
charged.
Reyes, who posted photos on
Instagram and Twitter of him in Maui around the time of the alleged incident.
Hours after the allegations surfaced, he made his Instagram account private.
