Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday has distributed cheques among farmers under Kissan package and said that Pakistan’s prosperity lies with the welfare of farmers.
He distributed cheques among farmers under the controversial Kissan package and addressed a gathering today in Lodhran. The PM posed a question, “Why opposition which claims to be pro-farmers is creating problems since announcement of the package?” Nawaz said that the reduction in cost of agricultural outputs is among government’s priorities.
Nawaz said that Kissan Package is worth at least Rs 341 billion which is the highest any previous government could allocate for the purpose. While addressing the cheque-distributing ceremony, Nawaz said that Lodhran would be connected with motorway also.
