PM to decide fortune of Pakistan, India series: Shahryar

Lahore - Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan has said that the cricket board will press for talks with India after endorsement of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, a private TV channel informed on Tuesday.

Talking to reporters, Shahryar said he had written a letter to the prime minister seeking authorization for the Pakistan-India series, which is planned for December.

He said it would cost Pakistan much less if the series is played in Sri Lanka instead of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). “But right now we are not discussing the bilateral series issue with India,” he said.

The PCB chairman said that the board would submit formal complaints to the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding Michael Vaughan recent tweets, which have been disparaged in many quarters.
