ISLAMABAD: Court rejected the discharge
appeal of Pervez Musharraf in Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case, reported on
Saturday.
The
judge also give out non-bail able arrest warrants of the former COAS.
The
court had reserved its decision on Musharraf’s request for permanent discharge
from appearing in the Abdul Rasheed Ghazi murder case hearing.
Pervez
Musharraf was being represented at the court by Malik Tahir advocate while
Tariq Asad advocate was representing Lal Masjid.
Lal Masjid minister Abdul Aziz had recently at a
press conference declared that he is ready to forgive Musharraf and others
involved in the operation. The three-day stalemate in July 2007 at the mosque
in Islamabad claimed number of lives including the students and security
personnel. The minister’s brother Abdul Rasheed Ghazi was among those killed in
the operation.
