Death
toll reaches 19 and more than fifty others are injured in rain related
incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and FATA.
According to details, seven laborers died when a mine
caved in in Orakzai Agency. Forty five laborers were trapped in the mine.
Operation to recover the trapped laborers is underway.
However, rain is disturbing relief operation. Nine people
including children and women died when roofs of houses collapsed in Khyber and
Mohmand Agencies, Mardan and Tank districts.
Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said
eighteen houses have been damaged due to rain and flood. It said that two
people have been killed in Bannu, on each in Tank and Malakand and twenty one
people have been injured across the province.
As many as three people were killed when roof of their
house caved in due to rain in Gujar Khan on Sunday. Punjab Chief Minister
Shahbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
