Bollywood
icon Amitabh Bachchan and Pakistani Classical Singer Shafqat Amanat Ali will
sing the National Anthem before the start of the India-Pakistan World Twenty20
cricket match at the Eden Gardens on March 19.
Bachchan
has assured the plan by retweeting a post in his official Twitter account while
sources in the Cricket Association of Bengal today said this was an effort by
its president Sourav Ganguly.
“The president was involved and
the plan was on for a long time,” CAB sources said.
While the ‘Big B’ will sing the
National Anthem.
While
from the Pakistan side, Classical singer Shafqat Amanat Ali will also make his
presence felt and is scheduled to sing the Pakistani National Anthem.
Both
the stars will be at Eden Gardens to boost up the strength of mind of their
respective teams.
