Karachi: 25 April being the deadline for
submission of applications for the designation of Pakistan National Cricket
Team’s head coach, six foreign coaches have shown interest in applying for the
job.
However the PCB still hopes that an applicant including former
Test Bowler Aqib Jawed would apply for the designation. While on the other
hand, some big cricket celebrities such as Tom Moody, Dean Jones, Mickey
Arthur, Stuart Law, and Jamie Siddons have shown interest in applying for the
Head Coach Designation.
Aqib Jawed was seen as the main nominee for the job but after the
declaration of Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja the panel to select a suitable head
coach, Aqib withdrew his nomination, contending that the committee had already
decided to bring in a foreign coach.
