LAHORE - Siraj ul Haq chief ofJamaat-e-Islami has rejected
the Terms of References for the Judicial Commission formed to investigate
corruption charges against Sharif family and other accused.
Speaking a “corruption free Pakistan” rally at Mall Road yesterday, he said that the ToRs of the Commission were ambiguous, missed deadline and time-frame for completion of investigation and did not fix penalties for the corrupt.
He said that the JI would write a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan from the “people of Pakistan” and request him for narrowing trap around corrupt at a time when every Pakistani pinned its hopes on him (Chief Justice).
“We will also send a “ToR” to the Chief Justice on behalf of the nation so that every penny of the plundered wealth could be recovered.”

chief asked the Opposition parties to remain joint to keep pressure on government
as it was turning point to make the country corruption-free. Differences among
Opposition parties will benefit the govt. They must remain united in war
against corruption,” he said.
Siraj criticized Sharif family for having offshore companies and huge assets abroad in a situation when “millions of Pakistanis were without basic health and education facilities and sleep hungry. Millions of people are without health amenities and they don’t have even clean water to drink.
Poor children search their bread from heaps of dirt but dogs of rich sleep in air-conditioned rooms,” he criticized.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif look as if to be possessing Allah Din’s genie that enabled his family to multiply its wealth within years.
He suggested that the Prime Minister should also pass on the genie to the poverty afflicted nation so that its fate was also changed.
He said the NAB had become an institution of bargaining and he who plundered one billion, was given a clean chit by paying off simply 10 per cent.
He said the JI believed in change through ballot but the immoral electoral system had made it impossible for the common man to contest elections.
