However, Karachi Company police have put his name down under section 376 PPC (FIR 114) and exertions were ongoing to capture him.
“Medical of the victim has been piloted which has confirmed the rape.
Different teams have been constituted to arrest the male nurse,” said Daood Sabir, the Duty Officer at the Karachi Company Police Station.
The victim girl, is a resident of Topi tehsil of district Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had been under treatment at the PIMS for the past two months, the hospital sources said.
The male nurse has been suspended and an inquiry at the hospital level is also ongoing, a narrator for PIMS said.
The hospital administration has established an inquiry group consisting Dr Rauf Niazi, Dr Abid Farooqi and Dr Shazia Farooqi that will review the issue and report within 48 hours.
On the other side, the administration of the hospital has different versions on the issue.
According to the officials, it will be clear only after the examination whether the girl was raped or it was an attempt to rape.
Father of the girl Said Gull in his application lodged with the PIMS hospital alleged that the male-nurse raped her daughter.
The girl was firstly treated at the Neurology Department of the hospital and for the last two months she was admitted to the surgical ICU of the hospital.
The hospital sources said that the father of the victim, who is a complainant in the case, has alleged that on-duty male nurse Krishan Kumar raped her daughter when nobody was around.
On the other hand, Capital Administration and Development Division authorities have also taken notice of the incident and ordered severe action against the suspect.
According to the sources, the suspect has a criminal record and about two years back, a coworker nurse had registered a complaint at Margalla Police Station of having raped her.
