The Security staff of Sindh
Assembly seized a pistol from an assistant of a private television channel’s
anchor in the house during the session. The speaker ordered to suspend all of
the security staff.
Both the anchor and his assistant were arrested as
per the direction of Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal. The Home Minister
promised to take action against the security staff who let the armed man to
enter in the assembly premises.
The members of the Assembly criticized the security
arrangements while some said that the security persons had stopped the man but
the anchor got him in.
Security guard of the assembly gate was suspended
while a team lead by DIG Munir Sheikh will investigate the case.
